नटरंग - Natrang

Hello friends! how are you doing?

I am blogging after such a loooong time! Recently I watched Marathi film "Natrang" and I was really very much impressed by the movie. Such a refreshingly different story, excellent performances of the actors especially Atul Kulkarni who has done a wonderful job as a 'Nachya' in the film! And not to forget Sonali Kulkarni who has danced so well in the movie.

But the most pleasing thing about this movie was revival of the Maharashtrian dance 'Lavnee' which had been a crowd gathering feature throughout the Marathi films in 60's and 70's. But later on, the craze started diminishing. I myself did not like Lavnee much. There had been great Lavnees in some of the films I watched for example, the classic - 'Pinjra'. But I wasn't really a fan of Lavnee until I watched Natrang!

Natrang has literally put life back into the Lavnee! Have a look at some of these amazing Lavnees from the film. Excellent Music from AJAY-ATUL! The rhythm in music literally drives me crazy!
